Cercle Libre is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation established 2015 in Vienna. Our mission is to contribute to an open-minded and inclusive society and put what we call Social Aesthetics into action, which means for us the embellishment of society through various approaches that value diversity, solidarity and creativity. Members of our organisation have a diverse professional background and are experienced in civil society-related activities, especially in the fields of arts and culture, anthropology, literature, sound art, transcultural education, female empowerment and employability. Cercle Libre believes in a strong united Europe and aims to develop and implement activities on a local, national and international level, appreciating ethical research and project management practises.

Regardless of our varying foci, we operate from a common ground of humanism and global citizenship, and highly value arts, culture and interdisciplinary collaboration.
